Wine Tasting
For just a few euros we will take you to our local vineyard to sample a selection of the wines produced, accompanied by local meats, cheese and other appetizers to compliment the wines you choose to taste.
Cooking Courses
You will enjoy a warm and friendly welcome from academy chef Guida Stacchietti at the fantastic Il Maniero Art Club and Restaurant. You’ll be taught how to cook a whole variety of local and national cuisine including homemade pasta, traditional meat dishes and wonderful Italian desserts just to mention a few, always using fresh local produce throughout.
Courses can be organised according to your requirements, from a single morning followed by the lunch you have just created to a full 5 mornings after which you can either enjoy your lunch in the sumptuous dining rooms at Il Maniero or Guida will pack it up for you to enjoy at your leisure at Caserma Carina. Dates are flexible and prices start from €75 per person per morning depending on the duration and number of participants.
Truffle Hunting
Enjoy a full day out starting with an exciting truffle hunt in the woodlands around Paolo Ciccioli’s beautiful agriturismo close to the stunning Sibillini mountains. This will be followed by a cooking demonstration on how to use your truffles in some local Italian dishes. Once you smell the wonderful aroma of the truffles you will enjoy all the more sitting down for lunch and sampling a mouthwatering menu. To compliment this you’ll also have the opportunity to try some delicious local wines. This is a great day out for both families and couples of all ages. Price €70, children age 6-12 €30. Children aged 5 and under go free.
Paolo Ciccioli previously lived in the UK dedicating his time to the export of local black and white truffles for the London restaurants and the borough market. His truffles were quickly appreciated by important chefs such as Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc, Gordon Ramsey, Antonio Carluccio, Giorgio Locatelli and others. He returned to Marche in 2005 to restore his old family home and to continue his successful truffle business.
Art Holidays
Join renowned artist Teresa Witz for a week at Caserma Carina where you’ll be taken to the stunning Sibillini Mountains, Monte Conero National Park, ancient towns and villages just to mention a few of the wonderful places to inspire you in this unspoilt region of Italy. Guided by Teresa you’ll have plenty of time for drawing and painting and producing a portfolio of ideas to work on at your leisure when you return home.
This holiday is suitable for anybody interested in spending a week with fellow artists of all levels, soaking up the amazing surroundings and having a fun week. There will of course be plenty of time for relaxing such as visiting the local market in Mogliano and enjoying a wine tasting afternoon at a local vineyard. Flights (from Stansted to Ancona with Ryanair) and all transport throughout your week in Italy are included along with sandwich lunches and evening meals. You’ll be taken to some lovely local restaurants, sample some delicious home-cooked meals made by a local Italian lady and enjoy an evening of making your very own pizzas.
